Hi cuties! Somehow it’s already the middle of September…and you know what that means: It’s time for fall weekend picnic adventures, apple-picking, getting cozy at home, and lazy Sundays spent baking and lounging with a favorite throw blanket and a good book!
As you may know, I’ve been spending a lot of time out East in at our Kathy Kuo Home Southampton flagship store, so my version of the perfect fall weekend involves an autumnal picnic with my kids, fall apple-picking and pumpkin-picking at one of the Southampton area’s many orchards and farms, and then seeing what I can potentially whip up in the kitchen using said apples.
Can you smell the cinnamon and pumpkin spice? Yum!
They say an apple a day–or in this case, an apple orchard trip every fall–keeps the doctor away, so without further, here are some of my go-to fall weekend musts, plus the perfect KKH pieces to add a dash of seasonal style!

Local Love: Apple-Picking In Southampton, NY
Before the weather turns from cozy sweater weather to legit *cold*, I love to take advantage of every opportunity to get outside for fall fun, especially when I’m on the East End. Nothing says “perfect fall weekend” like a picnic among the changing leaves or in a picturesque apple orchard. The best part is that these seasonal activities are completely kid-friendly!
Hit up some of the prettiest spots in the area afterwards? Shopping in SH, plus a crisp autumn day outdoors? I can’t think of a way I’d rather spend a fall weekend.

Apple Cinnamon & Pumpkin Spice–Yum!
It may be a cliche, but the signature apple and pumpkin scents of fall really do make a home feel festive! While I love a good scented candle for just about any season, my fave way to put that autumnal aroma in the air is by cooking and baking! If you have a chance to go apple-picking this season, why not bake your bounty into a pie or crisp to complete your fall weekend to-do list?
Our collection of cookware has some of the best pieces to help you get started if there are seasonal recipes on your list you’ve been wanting to try out. I promise: You won’t regret investing in a Staub pot or in Miyabi knives.
