We love a good farmhouse table, and believe that they work in just about any style home. In our mind, while the bones of a space do somewhat dictate the design, they don’t have to be the end all and be all of your interior choices. Farmhouse tables straddle different design styles; they work in a variety of homes. While they’re certainly in their element in a rustic country home, we think they’re just as beautiful in a more modern space, or a traditional home paired with modern chairs and interesting accent pieces. Case in point: the image above. A farmhouse table that would be seemingly more in tune with wooden chairs and an antique light fixture gets a serious dose of modern glam from streamlined dining chairs and a glitzy crystal chandelier. We’re loving this look, big time. Add to it that antique gold mirror and those distressed hardwoods, and you’ve got yourself a pretty swoonworthy space.
