We'll admit: when we first came across this room on Pinterest, we weren't totally sold. The muted blue and white color scheme seemed slightly boring to our eye, the symmetry of the room too predictable for our taste. Then we looked a little bit more closely, and fell in love. See, this room is just about as comfortable as it can get. It exudes the romance of French Country without going over the top, and provides the perfect backdrop for some coastal chic art pieces. It's the perfect living room for a summer beach house, don't you think? Navy and white is a classic combination that can feel stuffy, and yet here, the traditional color palate feels light and modern. That's probably thanks to the abundance of natural light in the space, and the fact that all the walls (fireplace included) have been painted a bright white. This means that the beamed wood ceilings, those gorgeous windows, the brick fireplace – they all blend into the background, opening up the room and letting the furniture and accessories take center stage. We love. We want to snuggle up onto that couch with a light throw blanket and the latest Gillian Flynn book.
