Happy June, cuties! Since we’ve all been working remotely for the past two years, I haven’t given many behind the scenes peeks at the Kathy Kuo Home showroom in Manhattan. Well, that changes now!
“Just like how our website, blog, social media channels, and Southampton store are reflections of the KKH essence, so is the design of our physical showroom in NYC. This space is designed to be a true haven of interior design inspo!”
Though, since 2020, most of my team is no longer working in the office space daily, I actually pop into the showroom and design studio often to work through design projects, meet clients, and organize our library of fabric and hard goods samples.
The design studio is where I really get to be in my element 100 percent. I truly love all the different hats I wear as a founder and CEO–I’m a business nerd at heart–but mixing and matching all the different colors, textures, styles, and silhouettes that make an interior design come to life? That’s what really brings me joy as a creative.
“Between the hustle and bustle of running a business and being a mama full time, I always look for pockets of time to be creative in the studio! Our KKH showroom and studio is definitely my own little happy place here in the city and it’s a space where I’m able to focus and find organic inspiration.”

The KKH Showroom Look
Ever since we moved into our NYC office and showroom uptown in 2017, the space has been the ultimate reflection of the KKH business. As a company rooted in design, the showroom and studio had to speak to a marriage of form and function.
My favorites elements in this space are the velvet sofa, the dreamy wallpaper, and the to-die-for fireplace (you already know that I *love* styling the mantel for each new season or holiday).

A Design Oasis
Of course, the absolute best part of spending time in the design studio is getting to dive headfirst into working with our array of samples! I find so much zen in actually touching and arranging the physical textile, stone, and hard goods samples next to each other to discover the best combinations. It’s all about making sure our spaces are design-first so our clients feel immersed in the process when they meet with our designers.
