When I have friends coming over during the holiday season, be it for a small get together or a larger dinner party, I really enjoy selecting wines for the occasion and always like to have a selection of unique and delicious reds, whites, and bubbles on hand in my bar cabinet for when guests stop over. Once I’ve selected a variety of tasty vino, my next favorite part about holiday prep is making sure that I have the perfect glassware different kinds of wine and cocktails (and even special glassware for water and soft drinks).
Having the proper glassware for all of your guests’ beverages of choice not only enhances the drinks themselves, but is also a nice opportunity to get super-festive in a way that’s also practical. Bonus points if you also invest in a chic ice bucket, decanter, and wine chiller for your next soiree!

Finally, when gearing up for holiday hosting—or even a festive night in—I love to guidance from my favorite cookbooks (and wine and cocktail books—hehe). Unique and artful cookbooks are a wonderful thing to have on hand because, not only are they sources of endless inspiration and instruction, but they also make great decorative elements in their own right.
