Kourtney Kardashian and husband Scott Disick have decided to put their “Alice in Wonderland meets Beetlejuice” abode on the market, and Domaine got an insider’s look at the space, and more importantly, the reason why Kardashian and Disick have decided to sell. Says Kourtney, “I love every single thing about this house, but I’m excited to take on a new project.” The four-bedroom Calabasas colonial hits the market this week – though she and interior designer Jeff Andrews just completed decorating it this past fall. Here are the deets, straight from Domaine. Click here to see the full feature.

“When we first started decorating, I wanted all white walls and for everything to be really simple,” she says. “Then I started saying, ‘I’m too young. This is my first house: I want to have fun!’” Andrews tells us he gradually introduced her to interesting wall coverings, colors, patterns, and textures, “which got her excited about going more bold and experimenting on a different kind of design level.”

Kourtney’s Vision
Kardashian admits she “became obsessive over interior decor and designing,” and immersed herself in the project. “It was definitely a collaboration between Jeff and I,” she recalls. “I am really hands-on and really a perfectionist — especially when it comes to interior design — so I was 100 percent involved.” Andrews tells us, “Kourtney is as obsessed with design as I am and has a great eye. We spent many nights on the phone looking through websites together and traded thousands of texts and emails brainstorming.”

Chic, Yet Comfortable
The goal, Andrews says, was to create “a chic yet comfortable retreat where she could go to creatively recharge, but it also needed to be kid-friendly.” The pair also wanted Kardashian’s home to feel curated and completely original: “Kourtney loves unique vintage finds and negotiating a good deal, so between her shopping and my custom designs and visions, our collaboration was a great combination of talents,” he says.
